Abstract

Discussions about literature at school are a classic theme, focus of scholars in different research achieved in the educational context. In this direction, several literary projects emerge that seek to develop the taste and pleasure for reading. Thus, in order to reflect on the possibilities of working with fairy tales, we aimed to analyze the contributions of the “Abracadabra Project... Here comes the story”, developed in a class school in Ceilândia, Federal District. As a theoretical reference, we use Abramovich (2004), Bettelheim (1980) and Busatto (2004). In order to understand how this work took place, a case study was fulfilled with semi-structured interviews with teachers, coordinators and the supervisor. From the research, we observed that the project contributes significantly to the children's literacy process, as there were reports about the advances in oral, reading, writing and textual comprehension.
