Abstract

This work aims to report a welcoming experience to students of the psychology course held in School / SPA Service at the Federal University of Jataí (UFJ) through the dialogue between art and psychoanalysis. These devices, because they allow mobilizing the subject of unconscious desire, enhance creativity and uniqueness, subverting the symptom by giving rise to the dimension of lack, which questions the illusion of completeness, harmony and perfection. Five meetings were held in which the methodology employed was the operative group, mediated by artistic and literary resources. The results of the intervention revealed that the use of aesthetic and cultural objects (transformational objects) in the group context contributed to the communication of emotions and relief of the students' suffering.
