The psychological duty is a type of clinical pratice that aims to receive the demand of the client at the time of mobilization, a proposal usually offered in institutions. It represents a type of intervention that can help to reposition Clinical Psychology towards a democratization of the population's access to a health promotion service. The complexity of this clinical practice consists of dealing with multifaceted forces. The present study aimed to investigate the contributions of the supervision to the practices of psychological duty. A data collection instrument was developed to investigate important reflections, significant facts and feelings that were mobilized during the supervisions. The records produced were analyzed by the Grounded Theory, a qualitative methodology. Two important aspects that emerged from the investigation were the contributions of supervision to training and the supervision as a supportive space. Supervision was constituted as a place for training and guidance, both technical and theoretical, underpinning the clinical practice, promoting the potential of students and contributing to professional development. The supervision group transcends the theoretical and technical aspects of guidance, demanding a context of trust and affective involvement. In this sense, it demands that the supervisor take care of the relations of the group, cultivating group cohesion.
