Abstract

The National Curriculum Guidelines for Psychology courses require the student's skills and competences development. Although the skills and competencies definition to be taught are not consensual, the authors consider that there are basic skills that serve as platforms for the proficient exercise of the profession. Among these skills are those developed by research development practice. Skills and competences such as observing a phenomenon, formulating questions, searching for bibliography, establishing the best method of intervention and investigation, verifying and reporting the results of the intervention, looks like the key repertoires common to the majority of professional activity fields, which includes clinical psychology. In this scenario, the Applied Psychology Service of the psychology course serves as the field to articulate these relationships in the undergraduate students of Federal University of Jatai. This paper discusses the articulation of these skills and competencies through the experience report in clinical basic and specific internship classes offered by the Behavior Analysis chair of the aforementioned institution.
