In view of the current context of global pandemic caused by Covid-19, there was a rapid need to resignify the society's ways of life, above all, due to social isolation, given the high degree of contamination and lethality of the new coronavirus. In this perspective, the school, as an environment propitious to living together, had its activities suddenly changed. Teaching, until then in person, was transported to virtual environments, forcing education professionals and students to seek, suddenly, new practices. Considering this singular moment, of adversities and possibilities, this work aims to discuss perspectives of educational practices, through the use of active methodologies, for remote classes. A qualitative research was carried out, with bibliographic review, to elucidate the concepts of remote teaching and active methodologies, aiming to contribute to the permanence and success of students at school. To this end, Freirian concepts were also addressed, which meet the need to face the adversities arising from this current context, such as the acceptance of the new, the joy and hope in the teacher's act, the conviction that change is possible. From the discussions presented, it is concluded that remote education favors the adoption of new pedagogical practices that can contribute to the re (thinking) of teachers' practices, also for the post-pandemic period.
