Abstract

The problem which motivated this research can be expressed in the following question: What are the bibliographic productions found involving Assistive Technologies used in education to promote inclusive education for people with disabilities? The general objective of this work was to conduct a survey on academic production (Master and Doctorate)CAPES database referring to the last four years, on academic work involving Assistive Technologies (AT) used in education for the development of Inclusive Education. In order to achieve this goal, a bibliographic search was performed, collecting data from the CAPES journal, based on database theses and dissertations. In the time frame (2015-2018), an amount of 12,190 scientific publications were found, including 9,240 dissertations and 2,950 theses. After evaluating the titles, abstracts and establishing the requirements on the subject of the use of Assistive Technologies in the education of people with disabilities, 3,074 works were found in 2018, 93 of them were directly related to the use of AT to teach people with disabilities and 478 focused on training teachers for using the AT. In this context, It is possible to observe that there is still much to use, propose and develop with regard to AT in order to provide to the disabled people greater autonomy in their activities.
