evaluate the quality of the fresh water of the river in Iporá - GO at the collected point by Saneamento company of Goiás - S/A (SANEAGO). The study evaluated the presence of heavy metals and chemical parameters of the waters of the watershed in the first semester of 2015, 2016 and 2017 and in the second semester of 2015 and 2016. Analyzes were provided by the state company through the researchers and company partnership, with the objective of verifying if there were alterations of the metallic elements and the parameters regarding the CONAMA resolution n ° 357/2005 and the ordinance of the ministry of health n ° 2,914 / 2011. Thus, the dissolved iron element presented changes in its concentration in 100% of the analyzes made in the respective years, and that this was associated with the surface runoff and soil type of the region, since the great predominance of Argisols and Latosols, originating from minerals composed of iron oxides. Aluminum presented changes in its composition only in the first half of 2015 and 2016 and associated with the surface runoff and the typical soils of the region, which are rich in aluminum. The chemical parameters did not exceed the recommendations of the legislation, but some of them do not present limits recommended by the current legislation, while others in their results nothing was detected. However, the preservation and conservation of the vegetation cover in the basin, as well as the riparian forests, helps to protect the soil against rainfall and to retain the energy of the surface runoff, thus avoiding that soils composed of these elements are leached to the water courses of the microbasin.
