The treatment of sewage is fundamental in the prevention of diseases, in the control of physical, chemical and biological waste, besides guaranteeing conditions to human health and the environment. It also aimed to evaluate the viability of the lagoon system in relation to economic and socio environmental aspects. At the station, the parameters analyzed in the ponds were as follows: BOD, COD, PH, OD, TEMPERATURE, SUSPENDED SOLIDS and FALSE COLIFORMES. With the obtained data, it was verified that the levels present in the samples of the tributaries and of the effluents are in agreement with the Brazilian legislation in force - Resolution CONAMA 430/2011 and CONAMA 357/2005 that is responsible in establishing the standard of discharge of the effluents. In this way, it was verified through documentary analyzes that there is efficiency in the treatment plant, since the results obtained revealed the preservation of the water body, showing that the process employed has competence
